Biocontainment Level III

The  Ministry of Health of Brazil,CDC,OMS and the  NIH guidelines for Bio Research Facilities are extensive because bio-containment facilities for bio-research  are some of the most complex containment facilities to design and operate. CDC,OMS and NIH define these requirements in the  publication. The BMBL(Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories) publication addresses issues that directly relate to the safety of the occupants within the lab as well as the protection of the public outside of the lab.

The BMBL publication lists these Requirements in the following categories:

•    Laboratory Practices
•    Safety Equipment
•    Laboratory Facilities

While Laboratory Practices are largely dependant upon the type of research preformed within the facility, the Safety Equipment and Laboratory Facilities are crucial to the integrity of the bio-containment barrier.

In these types of facilities, what goes on "behind the walls" is as important as what goes on in the lab. ALSCIENCE is familiar with all the aspects of the facility, from infrastructure to the finish on the walls.
